Discalced Carmelite Seculars are practicing members of the Catholic Church from all walks of life, married and unmarried, ordained priests and deacons, who feel the call to a closer relationship with God in prayer and under the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and inspired by Doctors of the Church St. Teresa of Jesus, St. John of the Cross and St. Therese of Lisieux, to make a commitment to the Discalced Carmelite Order to seek the face of God for the sake of the Church and the world.
